Arnos Vale Cemetery, Bristol
Arnos Vale Cemetery is a Victorian cemetery in Bristol, and is undergoing significant restoration after being left derelict for many years. The cemetery has a stillbirth section but sadly graves remain unmarked. While many of the babies have been buried a very long time ago, some babies were still buried there as late as the 1970s. Their parents and families do not have a space to visit, nor a place to reflect.
Bristol Sands are supporting this restoration and have improved the stillbirth section by erecting a monument in memory of all babies buried there. This will create a calm, respectful space for long ago bereaved parents to remember their babies in peace, offering much needed bereavement support.
Bristol Sands @BristolSands have unveiled a cemetery memorial which will remember babies that have died.
